This course is an introductory level course that will help participants to understand tools, materials and image transfer methods for working with soft-cut linoleum. Each participant will receive a 2” x 2” block, various papers and a fabric product of their choice (t-shirt, tote, flour-sac kitchen towel and more) plus guided instruction. There is no need to have an idea or image ready, as I will be teaching a simple abstract counterchange method that will create a repetitive pattern. Although, if you want to go rogue with your design - go for it! Participants will have access to carving tools and ink while in the studio. All blocks can be carved on both sides, so you will leave with space to make another design!
